Harmony is balance—like night and day, major and minor, spring and fall. What happens when one half has more than the other? For too many years humans and nature have clashed together causing discord and destruction. How does one fix this? The answer is harmony. Come see a home that is one step in the process to achieve the answer as it begins to balance human luxuries with conservation. In conjunction with the Green Built Program, Energy Star and the Department of Energy’s Building America Program, welcome to BerHoff Homes LLC’s “Harmony Home”

Upon entering, you are surrounded by an advanced framing technique that uses less wood and more insulation, upping the energy efficiency and lowering overall cost. The timber supporting this home comes from a renewable forest where every tree harvested is replaced by ten more. You will feel the warmth of the earth flowing through the veins of this home due to its geo-thermal and solar powered heat and hot water. The great room, with its hip-tray ceiling and wood burning fireplace shares its space with a fifty inch TV that, with the touch of a button, emerges from concealment. The breakfast area overlooks an ancient oak spared by the saw. Her arms will give shade to those below on the private patio. Upstairs is a library loft and several bedrooms. All sinks, showers and tubs throughout implement a system that recycles the heat from spent hot water instead of letting it just go down the drain. The lower level highlights the human love for entertainment. An open-wheel racing theme permeates this space as many real pieces of racing memorabilia are used for decoration and structure. The theatre room and Irish style pub uses recycled brick.

Where do you achieve balance? What do the harmonies of your life sound like? We invite you to hear ours. We know you will have “A Remarkable Experience!”

A home isn't just a place to hang your hat; it should be a place designed to help create the daily events that shape your life. We are pleased to share a home that we feel will fulfill its function with both realism and beauty.

Upon entering our home you are greeted by the gathering room, a place to gather experiences and reflect on memories. The grand piano stands patiently in the corner, waiting to be brought to life by capable fingers. Imagine the songs it will make as it mingles together with family and firelight. With only a few steps, you are in the kitchen, where you can pour a cup of coffee before you head out to the private covered porch to read the Sunday paper. On the weekdays, the breakfast area will be the central meeting place before yo and your family start the day.

In the evening, the master bedroom is a retreat. Seclude yourself from the duties of the day and escape to a world of dreams. Upstairs, the kids will have plenty of space in their bedrooms, including a study loft for all of those papers and projects. This area is completed with a toy room where imaginations can be unleashed and fostered for years to come.

Join us at our Parade home. See for yourself how we brought function and aesthetic to life. We know you will have A Remarkable Experience.
